The heroes barely had time to catch their breath after defeating the four horsemen. Then Avamerin moved. The massive angelic figure soared down from his elevated platform and immediately engaged the heroes. Now that he stood directly before them, the party understood that the battle ahead would be far more deadly than the one they had just survived.
And Avamerin was not alone as the six mirrors around the chamber began to crack and shattered revealing six portals to the Outer Planes of Evil namely Tarterian Depths of Carceri, Nine Hells of Baator, Grey Wastes of Hades, Infinite Layers of the Abyss, Bleak Eternity of Gehenna & Windswept Depths of Pandemonium and terrifying creatures emerged.
A Balor emerged followed by a Marilith, a Shator Demondad, an Ultroloth, an ice Devil and finally an exiled Archdevil & the battle began almost immediately with such overwhelming odds.
Fafnir was the first target as he was trapped within a Wall of Force before Jallarzi’s Storm of Radiance was unleashed on him greatly reducing Fafnir ability to contribute to the battle.
Sonadel attempted to assist the heroes, but Avamerin anticipated the move and trapped her within a perfectly timed Imprisonment spell.
Marion, Elistar, Fred, Labubu and Laevtykuz were repeatedly battered by the enemies surrounding them. Powerful magic filled the chamber as spells such as Prismatic Spray, Blade Barrier, Symbol, Earthquake, and numerous conjuration spells were unleashed as steel and magic collide within the ancient temple complex.
It was a blood bath as both Laevtykuz and Labubu fell during the fight, while the remaining heroes struggled and after a long and brutal battle, the heroes finally managed to defeat Avamerin and it appeared that they had won before they realised something was terribly wrong.
The heroes discovered that only the Balor and Marilith were genuine creatures from the Outer Planes but the other four creatures had not been new enemies at all. Instead they were the four dead horsemen, their forms manipulated or manifested once again to continue the battle.
It was than the temple shook and something ancient had awakened.
Sertrous manifested itself on Avamerin body. Before the heroes could come to terms with this new development, they were in for more rude shocks. Their benefactor, Erin Darkflame Montgomery, the very one who has provided them keys to leave Sigil is Sertrous. And than they saw their first employer, their first patron, who gathered the heroes from different corners of the realms. Amphaliira Shaeilvir is none other then the ancient being itself.
Heavily wounded, exhausted, wounded, and barely standing. Defeat seemed imminent.
However, Labubu had other plans and he made a wish. A wish to heal the heroes. Immediately, the power of the spell washed over the party, restoring the battle-weary heroes and giving them renewed energy and focus to face the ancient evil.
However, the ancient evil had other plans and surprises as Laevtykuz 'youngest daughter Tsomaezyn emerged from the shadows & attacked her own father.
At the same time, Labubu's foster parents appeared and turned against him, The heroes were suddenly caught between enemies they had never expected to face.
Meanwhile, Sertrous continued exerting his evil across the realms. Various portals begin to open and through them, the heroes could see each of their own homeland being torn apart as fiery meteors begun to rain down from the skies and across numerous locations, unnatural disasters had erupted. Cities and lands were threatened with destruction as the influence of Sertrous spread through the world.
The ancient evil was no longer simply attempting to destroy the heroes but attempted to destroy the Realms
Running out of time as Sertrous begin to destabilise the portals, trapping the heroes with him and destroyed the entire realms.
It was then Fafnir made a choice He offered to sacrifice his homeland once again by killing all the innocents. This sacrifice bought the heroes precious time. Realising this, Sertrous struck down Tsomaezyn to Laevtykuz horror and begin to close the portals .
There simply is no defeating this elder evil, except running and hoping it is banished again. Racing against time and gathering together, the heroes raced toward the portals and leapt through them without a second thought or delay.
As they escaped, the heroes finally succeeded in banishing the ancient evil Sertrous for millennias. Victory however, came at an unimaginable cost.
The exhausted heroes are separated but alive. They each awoke at different locations across the Realms and when they looked around, they realised that the world they had left behind no longer the same.
Lands are reshaped, entire cities gone as the destruction caused by Sertrous had reshaped the lands they once knew, and the consequences of their final battle would be felt for generations to come.
The heroes had prevented the destruction of the Realms but the world they fought so hard to save were never be the same again.
